I Support the Ethics Trial in NSW Primary Schools
Dear Carmel Tebbutt
I am writing to add my strong support for the Ethics Trial [more].
As a non-religious parent of two children at a public primary school I feel very strongly that Ethics should be offered as a weekly class in schools. I believe my children would benefit enormously from attending such a class.
In fact, I wonder why it was not offered to me as a child of non-religious parents attending a public school in the 1970s.
It seems it is well and truly time to introduce this subject. Those who wish to opt out of ethics could, of course, attend a religion class of their choice, if it is offered.
I look forwardd to seeing how this issue is progressed in the very near future. It is extremely important to me.
Yours sincerely
Jude McGee
