Support The Ethics Trial

10 primary schools in NSW offer this semester an alternative to children who do not attend SRE classes. This trial is supported by numerous organisations, and most importantly, by many parents. This hasn't stopped some established Christian lobby groups to campaign against the trial. To stop parents from choosing.

Make yourself heard. Email your local newspaper, your local MP, Minster Firth or the Premier herself in support of the trial. And copy or forward your message to ethics.trial@gmail.com. We will post your emails here and on Facebook. Such that your voice is on record and will not go unnoticed.

I am writing to add my strong support for the Ethics Tria [more].
The current management of children who are enrolled in "non-scripture" is totally inadequate: they are taught nothing and are often not even adequately supervised.
The religious education provided at present, in our area at least, is not ethical education at all but rather an attempt to convert the children to religion. This is totally unacceptable in a state educational system which is supposed to be secular! Our family feels that our children are significantly disadvantaged by the present situation.
